PDigger

Terms of Service

Effective 13 September 2026

These Terms of Service govern access to PDigger, including the website at local.pdigger.com, the Mac application, and signed-in VLM assistance, provided by eprojac Ltd (“eprojac”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16877519), registered office 17 Drakes Close, Esher, Surrey, United Kingdom, KT10 8PQ. Our company details are also on the Legal notice page.

PDigger is made by eprojac Ltd.

These terms become a binding agreement between you and eprojac when you do any of the following: tick the box on the download page confirming that you have read and agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy; continue past the sign-in page, which states that by continuing you agree to these terms; or install, open, or use PDigger. If you do not agree, do not download, install, or use PDigger.

If you use PDigger on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation, and “you” includes it.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. That includes mandatory consumer rights under the law of the United Kingdom, of an EU member state, or of a US state where you live, where those rights apply to you. See section 14 (Consumers).

1. The service

PDigger is a Mac application (Apple silicon, macOS 14 or later) that records what you do on the computer where it is installed, keeps that history on that computer, and lets you search it, inspect document maps, ask evidence-supported questions, and draft reusable skills.

What PDigger records depends on the macOS permissions you grant. With Screen Recording it captures the screen. With Input Monitoring it also records keyboard and pointer events: which keys are pressed (key codes together with the active keyboard layout, which is enough to work out what was typed), modifier keys, pointer positions, clicks, and scrolling. macOS secure input, which is active in password fields and similar protected entry, is not recorded. With Accessibility it reads the roles and names of controls in every window it captures (all visible windows it records, not only the one in front). It also looks at the browser address bar (currently Google Chrome) only to recognise Google Docs, Sheets, and Slides, and keeps only the document identifier and the sheet, slide, or tab identifier; nothing is kept from any other web address, and URL credentials are never kept. Screen Recording and Accessibility are needed for capture; Input Monitoring is optional. Everything captured stays on your Mac unless you sign in. While you are signed in and recording, PDigger sends bounded evidence in the background to interpret groups of recorded activity and write checkpoints (subject to a daily cap) and to screen uncertain media, and sends evidence for the questions, skills, and query refinements you request; section 9 and the Privacy Policy explain what is sent.

Capture, search, and documents work without an account. VLM assistance requires Google sign-in from inside the app. This website does not start an app session on its own.

Ask answers, skills, checkpoints, and query refinements are generated by an AI model. They are drafts. They can be wrong or incomplete, and you must review them before relying on them. PDigger does not execute procedures, send messages, or change other applications on your behalf. When you choose to install a skill, PDigger writes a SKILL.md file into the skills folder of Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex in your home folder; it makes no other change to other applications.

During the current free period, eligible Google accounts may sign in. Access can be paused, rate-limited, or withdrawn. The service may change as we develop it.

2. Eligibility and your device

You must be at least 18 years old to use PDigger. PDigger is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.

You may install PDigger only on a Mac that you own or are authorised to administer. You must not install it covertly on someone else’s computer, and you must not use it to record or monitor another person without a lawful basis.

If other people use the same Mac or user account, you are responsible for telling them that PDigger records activity on that computer and for pausing recording when you should.

If you deploy PDigger in an organisation, the organisation is the controller of what PDigger records and is responsible for how it is used. It must give any monitoring notices and obtain any consents that the law requires where its staff are located, for example under UK ICO guidance on monitoring workers, EU rules on employee monitoring and works-council consultation, and US state laws such as New York Civil Rights Law section 52-c. eprojac does not monitor anyone for you.

3. Licence and third-party components

Subject to these terms, eprojac grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the Mac app for your own internal purposes and to use the website and sign-in flow as provided.

You do not acquire ownership of the software, site, or related intellectual property.

PDigger includes third-party components. Their licences and notices are in THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt inside the app bundle and apply to those components. Bundled models include TinyCLIP (MIT licence) and DINOv2-small (Apache License 2.0). Some builds also include Gemma 3 270M IT, which Google provides under the Gemma Terms of Use. If your build includes Gemma, you must comply with the Gemma Prohibited Use Policy at https://ai.google.dev/gemma/prohibited_use_policy. Nothing in these terms gives you more rights in a third-party component than its own licence does.

4. Acceptable use

You must not:

5. Accounts, quotas, and no fees (current period)

Sign-in uses Google through Amazon Cognito. Sign-in is limited to eligible Google accounts, and we can disable an individual account’s access. You must keep your Google account secure. We may apply daily request and token quotas. Exceeding a quota returns an error without an upstream generation call.

There is no subscription fee for the current period. If we introduce paid plans, we will describe them in writing before charging.

6. Updates

Each time it starts, and when you choose Check for Updates, the app contacts local.pdigger.com to find out whether a newer version exists. Each time it starts it also fetches the sign-in configuration file (/.well-known/pdigger-config.json) from local.pdigger.com, whether or not you are signed in. Neither request carries an account identifier or history. Like any web request, they expose your IP address, the time, and a user agent string to our content delivery network (see the Privacy Policy, section 3D). The user agent is the system default: the app name and version plus the macOS networking version. There is no custom header. If you are signed in and your sign-in token is about to expire, the app also refreshes it with Amazon Cognito when it starts. If the app is installed in /Applications, it downloads a newer version automatically, verifies its checksum, and asks you to restart to install it. Some updates may be required for the app or VLM assistance to keep working, and we may stop supporting older versions.

7. Third-party services

The service uses AWS, Google sign-in, and an inference provider (currently OpenAI). Their terms and policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for third-party availability, security, or changes.

8. Intellectual property

You retain rights in your local history, imported demo JSON, prompts, and generated drafts (“Customer Content”).

eprojac retains rights in PDigger, the website, documentation, and our intellectual property.

You grant eprojac a limited licence to process Customer Content solely as needed to provide signed-in VLM assistance on your instructions and to comply with law.

9. Data protection

Our Privacy Policy describes controller-side processing. Where we process personal data on your behalf as a processor, the Data Processing Addendum is incorporated into these terms.

When you use VLM assistance, the app sends only the bounded evidence for that request (selected images and text) together with counts of input events. It never sends key codes, typed text, or your local history as a whole. You are responsible for the legality of Customer Content, including screen contents you choose to capture or send and any sensitive or special-category data that appears in them.

10. Confidentiality and security

We use reasonable and appropriate measures designed to protect Customer Content in transit to the proxy. We do not use submitted evidence to train our own models. Local history on your Mac is not encrypted by PDigger; it relies on macOS FileVault, so keep FileVault on. See the Security contact page for how we are built and how to report a vulnerability.

11. Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PDIGGER IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that capture, OCR, maps, search, or VLM outputs will be complete, accurate, secure, or uninterrupted, or that PDigger will record everything that happens on your Mac. You must review outputs before relying on them. This section does not affect the rights described in section 14.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access where we decide not to keep serving an account (for example after misuse or a compromised account), for quota or legal compliance, or for material breach, and may terminate immediately for a breach of section 2 or 4. We may modify features, and may end the free period or the service on reasonable notice. You may stop using the app and sign out at any time. Sign-out deletes the Mac Keychain session and does not delete local history. When these terms end, your licence ends, and the sections listed in section 19 survive.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for any liability that cannot legally be limited.

SUBJECT TO THAT, AND TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW: (A) EPROJAC IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE LOSS, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFIT, REVENUE, BUSINESS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY; AND (B) EPROJAC’S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO PDIGGER OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (I) THE FEES YOU PAID TO EPROJAC FOR PDIGGER IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND (II) £100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits. Where that is so, they apply only to the extent permitted. If you are a consumer, section 14 applies.

14. Consumers

This section applies if you use PDigger as a consumer, that is for purposes outside your trade, business, craft, or profession. It takes priority over anything else in these terms that conflicts with it.

UK and EU consumers. You keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, including your statutory rights about digital content and digital services. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. The choice of English law in section 16 does not deprive you of that protection. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of the country where you live, and if we bring proceedings against you we will do so in the courts of the country where you live.

US consumers. Some US states do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of certain damages. Where that applies, sections 11 and 13 apply only to the extent allowed, and you may have other rights that vary from state to state.

Everyone. Nothing in these terms affects statutory rights that cannot be waived. Section 17 explains small-claims court and individual claims.

15. Export and sanctions

You must comply with applicable UK, EU, and US export and sanctions laws. You must not use the service if you are a prohibited person or in a comprehensively sanctioned territory.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and any dispute or claim (including non-contractual disputes) are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to sections 14 and 17. If you are a consumer, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of the country where you live, and you may bring or defend proceedings in the courts of that country.

17. Individual claims and small claims

To the maximum extent permitted by law, claims must be brought in an individual capacity and not as a class, collective, or representative action, except where that restriction is unenforceable. Either of us may bring an individual claim in a small-claims court (or its local equivalent) in the place where you live, if the claim qualifies for that court. These terms do not require arbitration. We do not belong to, and are not obliged to use, any alternative dispute resolution scheme or ombudsman; if we cannot resolve a complaint with you directly, the courts described in section 16 and your local small-claims court remain available.

18. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms to reflect changes in PDigger, the law, or our business. We will post the updated terms on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we will give reasonable advance notice before it takes effect, on this site, in the app, or by email where we have your address. If you continue to use PDigger after the new terms take effect, you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using PDigger before then and sign out; you may also ask us to delete your account data on the Data requests page.

19. General

Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, the Data Processing Addendum where it applies, and the Third-Party Notices are the entire agreement between you and eprojac about PDigger and replace any earlier discussions. Nothing in this paragraph limits liability for fraud.

Severability. If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest continues to apply, and the unenforceable part is replaced by the closest enforceable wording.

No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, we can still enforce it later.

Assignment. We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to a successor to our business or to the PDigger product, and will tell you if we do. You may not transfer yours without our written consent.

Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delay or failure caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages at AWS, Google, or the inference provider.

Third-party rights. Only you and eprojac may enforce these terms. The Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 does not apply.

Notices. We may give you notice on this site, in the app, or by email to the address you signed in with. You give us notice at admin@eprojac.com marked “legal notice”, or by post to the registered office. An email notice counts as received on the next working day.

Survival. Sections 2, 4, 8, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, and 19 survive the end of these terms.

Language. These terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version governs.

Feedback. If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant eprojac a perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use them without obligation to you.
